Inspired Beer for Sinners and Saints Alike
Last Wednesday (6/13/12) our new brite tank arrived, our largest one yet. For four days I tried to get Ken to talk to me about the tank delivery and installation; he claimed to be too busy. Finally, I just grabbed my camera and followed him around. The only time he was able and willing to speak to me was between jobs.
Here is a quick glimpse of the average workday for our Plant Manager, Ken Kline.

A long time ago (well, 2004) in a Pizza Port not so far away (Solana Beach, CA), Tomme Arthur and New Belgium’s Peter Bouckaert brewed an all Brettanomyces beer they called Mo’ Betta Bretta.
The two recently joined forces once again — this time at The Lost Abbey — to do a refresh of that beer. Here’s a quick look at the 2012 Mo’ Betta Bretta releasing early this summer.

Meet the DOBO at Urge GastropubFor all you San Diegans one of the finest restaurants and beer bars in North County is hosting a tap takeover/keep the glass night tomorrow (3/29/12). Our one and only DOBO, (Director of Brewery Operations) Tomme Arthur, along with Tasting Room Manager/Hospitality Manager, Kevin Hopkins, will be attending the event. Urge’s top notch chefs will be preparing some tasty treats, including a couple specialty dishes involving our beer.
